B.B.T's (Boujie Budget Trips!)
Do You Like To Travel In A Group?
My friends and I sure do!!
And since you know this blog is about trying new things on a 'budget', then you know we transfer our knowledge of planning events towards planning our trips!😁
We pack as much activities as we can, within the shortest amount of time, and all within a reasonable budget.
*Please note: My friends and I all live on a tropical island, and work various jobs, so our 'trips' usually fall in the category of 'weekenders'. Prices for travel will vary depending on where you live.*
Now you're probably wondering how we manage to travel on a budget. ... Well the answer is preparation! ... First we select a destination. (Florida is one of our favorites because of proximity.) .. Then we figure out our overall budget. From there, we break our budget down even further.
For example:
Destination: Miami
No. of persons: 4
Overall Budget: $500 per person
No. of Days/Nights: 3 days/2 nights
Per Person Budget:
Airline ticket: Approx. $250
Car: Approx. $50
Airbnb/Hotel: Approx. $50
Activities: Approx. $150
Once you know what your budget is, and you know which days you want to travel, then you can begin your preparations.
Purchasing your airline tickets will probably be your first step. Feel free to use flight trackers, alternate routes, or purchase 'one way' tickets, to get to your destination.
The next step, is to focus on living arrangements. You can use any method that you are comfortable with, such as hotels, or an Airbnb type of home. We generally decide on what is important to us at the time (such as the number of beds, number of bathrooms, amenities, etc.) and let that be the focus on the 'type' of place we stay at, and how much we are willing to individually pay.
The third step is transportation. If we are going for a weekend, we usually travel light. (Well some of us do!!😜) ... So of course, our mode of transport varies! We tend to go for midsize jeeps though. We found that we get a bit more room than sitting in a full size car, and who doesn't mind a little 'extra' space for comfort. We also decide ahead of time, the 'whose going to drive' situation. For the most part, we usually take turns driving during our trip, that way one person won't get tired.
Finally, the last thing to focus on, are activities. (This is the fun part!) ... When you are planning a group trip, each person should get an opportunity to pick an activity that they are interested in, and of course, the other people in the group will usually 'support' them, participating in the activity as well.

You will be surprise at the number of things you can do, or try, just by doing a little research, and by having an open mind. (Personally, Groupon has allowed my friends and I, the opportunity to try a number of things, all within our budget!😁) .. If you don't know what to do, check out the local event pages online for the city and/or country you're visiting, you may find something there.
In no time at all, you and your friends will be packing your suitcases, jet setting all around the world, trying new things, and having a great time!
Okay folks! There you have it! ... A basic guide to planning your next 'group' Boujie on A Budget Trip!
